Roshan Shetty
I am a Masters in Information Systems graduate from University of Cincinnati. I work at BlueVine where I built machine learning models to optimize direct mail campaigns. Previously, I worked at Tenfold leading the data team as it's data scientist. Previously, I interned at SAP as an intern Data Scientist.
During my first semester vacation, I was pretty free and I started exploring Coursera's Data Science Specialization and found R pretty simple to use and the world of Data Science very interesting. In the next few months, I have gradually spent time learning more and more through online courses and projects. When I was in India for my summer break, I explored some options to get a portfolio of projects under my belt and it led me to register for Udacity's Data Analyst Nanodegree. I am now comfortable using Python, R and SAS. I have got myself certified in SAS too.
All this helped me land a job at Tenfold. I have continued learning. I completed the Artificial Intelligence Nanodegree at Udacity and also the Statistics with R specialization at Coursera. You can take a look at some of my projects here.
Apart from that, I also do some data science volunteering for Project 1948 - building a data curriculum for Bosnian students interested in data science and some ad-hoc work related to the data they have.
